FOXHILL CHEESE

Fox Hill Cheese House is unique because our cheese is made strictly from the milk of our own 50-head herd of Holstein cows. A small herd allows us to pay strict attention to the quality forage fed to our cows and to the production of clean, pure milk that is drug and hormone-free. All of our products can be sampled when you come and visit us.

GOUDA

This semi-hard cheese is quite mild in flavor when it is young, but acquires a slight sharpness as it ages. Try it grated over baked potatoes or both young and old gouda are perfect choices for lunch or as a snack with fruit and bread.

HAVARTI

Mild and creamy are two words to describe Foxhill havarti. Typically a sandwich cheese, it can be consumed with tomatoes and pickles. Fenugreek havarti, however, is simply a delicious desert cheese served with local ice wine, fruit and dark chocolate.

CHEDDAR

This Canadian favorite has many attributes. As Foxhill cheddar ages, it develops a lingering slight sharpness on the palate. Wonderful to use in soups and casseroles, it is a white cheese without the dyes of “orange” cheddar.

FRESH QUARK

This fresh German cheese is relatively new to the Canadian cheese connoseur. Used by many Europeans in cheese cakes and other desserts instead of cream cheese, Foxhill quark has a fresh tangy taste which is delectable on a bagel for breakfast with your favorite fruit or jam, or substitute it in lasagna for ricotta or cottage cheese. Lower in fat than traditional cream cheese and salt free in the natural variety, it is so versatile.

FRESH CURDS

The original Quebec poutine cheese! Warm out of the vat, Foxhill fresh curds squeak, the sure sign of freshness. Don’t limit your fresh curds to poutine; use them on pizza, in salad or top up your next soup!

FETA

The Greek cheese used in the country’s signature salad, Foxhill Feta is sharp and salty. Not only a salad cheese, it is delicious in pasta dishes as well.

PARMESRAN

No there is no spelling error! This parmesan style cheese is unique to Fox Hill Cheese House and has a little more moisture than regular parmesan.

IMPORTED CHEESE

Since Fox Hill Cheese is unable to make every variety of cheese, we try to provide our customers with cheeses that are popular with consumers. While many cheeses are from far away countries some, like RanCher Acres goat cheese, is made locally. Try some brie, blues, swiss, English or closer to home, Quebec cheeses. They are all part of the cheese experience!
